glee episode

 I think that most of the episode is wrong about christianity.  For example the quarterback of the football team is worshipping a grilled cheeses and at the end he feels like God is not looking out for him and he is just floating around in space.  However the show does get some things right like that we definatly should pray to God when we need help or someone we care about or know needs help.  The show also I think emphazises what a lot of christians do.  When everything is going great then we say that we love God but when times go bad we turn against him and doubt him but as christians we need to back up our belief and accept that God has a plan, is in control and knows what he is doing.

matthew 5:13-16

In this section Jesus teaches the crowd about being the light of the world and the salt of the world.  Jesus says that a city on a hill cannot be hidden and people do not set a candle under a bowl.  I think that this means if we are believers than we need to act like belivers and not hide or pretend not to be.  In the last part of the section Jesus tells us to let our light shine before men.  This is really obvious that God wants us to minister to others and give glory to God.

my thoughts about halloween

I do not think that halloween is bad sure we got it from the pagans but we got christmas from them to.  I do think however, that we do need to be careful because it is a holiday that some people use to as the article says "use witchcraft and stuff".  So I guess halloween is another one of those things that you have to look at from your perspective either its this terrible day when people go worship demons or a day when some kids want to go get some candy.  I myself will be one of the kids trying to go get candy.

My Experienc At The Special Olympics

Today we went to the bowling ally to help with the special olympics.  At first I was kind of nervous and then when I found out that we each had four people I got even more nervous.  At the beginning I was quite but later on I got comfortable around them.  All the guys in my group were really funny ,especially one man named Chip, I just had to relax and talk to them.  It was amazing to see them just bowl  and have fun and they were actually really good at bowling some of them bowled better than I can. One man named Richard got three strikes in a row and a whole lot of spares.
   I really felt like I was making a difference in their day by just giving them a compliment and talking to them.  I really felt good when I gave them compliments especially Richard who would always get a huge smile on his face when I told him that he was doing a great job.  Also whenever I would clap for Chip he would smile and clap to.  I also felt bad because I complain a lot but I havn't had life as hard as these guys. Throughout the day I had a ton of fun and I really wish that we could go back and help again or just be able to see and talk to the guys in my group again and go talk to the other people in Special olympics.      

andys chapel

I really liked Andys chapels this week and I was able to understand them.  On monday he introduced himself and talked about his family.  He has adopted two children from Africa which is really cool. He also helps camp Kivu in Colorado.  I really wish that I could go there.  He also asked us three questions that one of his college professors asked him. How do we know we are living?  How do we know the sky is blue?  And how do we know God is real?  These are actually really hard questions to answer. On tuesday he asked us what do we believe and he told us about two kinds of truth.  One of the truths is the truth that is opionized and the other thruth is actually true.  Also on Tuesday Andy spoke to us in Bible class.  He talked to us about how there are ways to prove something true.  First there was historical evidence like seeing if people and empires that are in the bible actually existed. There was also geographical evidence which is discovering real places that exist today that were mentioned in the Bible.  There were many ways to find evidence to prove the bible and I really enjoyed that Bible class.  On Wednesday He talked about our behavior and that ideas have consequences.  He also mentioned that whatever you digest is what you become, junk food changes your shape just like your thoughts change your behavior,  and An apple a day keeps the doctor away.  On Thursday he finished talking about behavior.  He told us the story about him going skydiving (now I really want to go) and he used the story to tell us that we shouldnt be afraid to do what God says.  He also taught us that each of us has a gift and that we have to know what sin is and what sin isnt and that everything has a message.  Friday was his last day and I was really disappointed because I have learned a lot from him.  So on Friday he asked us who we are and how do we belong and told us to know what you believe.  We also need to leave our pride behind we are just as much of sinners as others our so we need to help everyone just like Jesus went and helped the blind and homeless.  I sure hope that Andy comes back and teaches us again I liked him and learned a lot from him. 

Qualites of a friend

I want my friends to be nice because I hate it when people are constantly mean and it really starts depressing me when people around me are mean. I also want my friend to be super fun to hang out with and goofy and funny so that if I am down they can cheer me up and if we are being weird then it is OK. I also want a friend who is accepting because it is super hard to be the new kid at a new school. I also want my friends to be honest so that they will tell me if I'm doing something bad.   

lyrical study

This song is about how his wife and him are getting a divorce.  The song is sad because he makes it sound like that he is the only one actually hurting and it sounds like they have hade troubles in the past but are finally giving up.  I think that you probably shouldnt listen to this song very much because god does not just give up on us but sticks with us and keeps forgiving us.
