the bible movie

I think that movie actually made a lot of sense.  Like when the guys set up the confession booth in seattle to apologize to people.  I mean we should apologize because we have sinned just as much as anyone else and all sins are equal to God.  The booth also shows that we shouldn't be hypocritical because we cant just judge other people's sins. There was something that actually surprised me.  At one point in the movie a guy asked people what they thought christians were associated with.  I thought that a lot of people would say that Christians were hypocrites but most of the people said that christians were loving and kind and try to live life the right way.  The main part of the movie that got to me was when one guy talked about a kid that they picked on in his high school that eventually killed himself.  When I saw this I thought that I'm kinda like that I mean I havnt taken anything to how far those kids did but I do pick on people.  I think that this movie really showed me how to talk to and try to convert non christians because we cant just scream at them and point out there errors but love them.

Jesus Camp

I think that like everything this movie has good and bad things in it.  I really didn't like the part when the little girl said that dead churches are churches that do not stand up and yell when they worship.  First of the Bible never says anything on which type or worship is best.  Just like some people learn in different ways we worship in different ways and some people were just raised differently like the older people sing hms but that does not make their form of worship wrong.  I agree that we do need to be radical but some things are going a little far like saying that harry potter is evil.  If you want to not let your kids watch harry potter then you shouldn't let them watch saving private ryan,  forrest gump,  or any movie because even the classics have sin in them because sin is everywhere and you cant hide them from it.  It also seemed like in one part of the movie that she was saying that we are in a war but we need to fight in a peaceful way and spread the gospel and be peacemakers like the bible tells us to.  Also we do not command God we can't demand him to make a strike in bowling or not to shut off the lights.  We can pray to God but we need to be careful and make sure that we do not try to have authority over him.  This group seems to have there hearts in right place by teaching children about God but it seems borderline brainwashing because everybody has a choice even children and I don't think that they are taking the time to even ask these kids if they want to or even have Jesus in their hearts.
